Introducing Friends: A New Way to Connect on ShareWell

At ShareWell, we know that mental health thrives in a well connected community. You asked for it, and we listened! We’re thrilled to introduce our new Friends feature allowing you to build deeper connections with the people you meet on our platform. Whether you’re attending a session for the first time or you’re a long-time community member, the Friends feature is here to help you build lasting, genuine connections.

Friends on ShareWell

The Friends feature is designed to help you stay in touch with the people you connect with during ShareWell sessions. Ever wanted to keep a conversation going after a session? Now you can! Accepting a friend request allows direct one-on-one messaging, so meaningful conversations can continue beyond the sessions.

Friends unlocks new ways to stay connected with the ShareWell community members you meet. Now, you can build a circle of trusted peers, coordinate future sessions together, and keep track of your shared progress. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, planning follow-up conversations, or simply checking in with each other, Friends helps you create a deeper support system on ShareWell.

Currently, Friends is in beta, and we’ll be actively listening to your feedback to shape and refine it in the coming months. As you explore this feature, your insights are incredibly valuable to us—please share your thoughts by reaching out directly to our support team at support@sharewellnow.com.

Friends Safety

Adding friends should be a thoughtful decision. We recommend only connecting with individuals you genuinely feel comfortable with, similar to adding friends on social platforms like Facebook. Remember, when you add a friend you’re also opening a line of communication through direct messages.

Keep in mind that not everyone may feel ready or comfortable accepting friend requests, and that’s okay — forming connections is a personal decision, and there’s no obligation to accept every request. Harassment or negative usage of the Friends feature will not be tolerated, and our support team is here to help if any issues arise.

Your safety and privacy are a top priority. We recommend avoiding the exchange of personal information, like phone numbers, emails, or social media accounts. The Friends feature is designed to help you connect safely within the ShareWell platform, allowing you to stay anonymous and avoid sharing personal contact details.

Why Add Friends?

Here’s how adding friends can enhance your experience:

  • Coordinate Sessions Together: If you’ve built a strong connection with someone, why not plan future sessions together? Attending sessions with friends can make the experience even more enjoyable and meaningful, creating a shared journey of growth.
  • Continue the Conversation: We know that sometimes an hour-long session isn’t enough to dive as deep as you’d like. Adding friends allows you to stay in touch with those who resonate with you during a session, so the conversation doesn’t have to end when the session does.
  • Build a Support Network: By connecting with trusted peers, you can create a supportive circle of friends who you can lean on during tough times or celebrate personal wins with. This sense of community can make all the difference.

What’s Next?

This beta launch is just the beginning. In the coming months, we’ll continue to refine and expand the ways you can connect and interact with your friends on ShareWell based on your feedback and insights. While in beta, Friends and its associated features will remain free for all members.

If you have ideas or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to share them with us. You can reach our team any time at support@sharewellnow.com.
