World Mental Health Awareness Day
World Mental Health Awareness Day, observed annually on October 10th, highlights the importance of mental well-being and advocates for mental health issues worldwide. On this day, organizations, communities, and individuals unite to raise awareness, promote understanding, and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.
This year, ShareWell proudly joins the global movement by focusing on the mental health needs of LGBTQIA+ young adults. Together with our partner, Active Minds, we are committed to expanding access to vital support.
Sponsoring Free Mental Health for LGBTQIA+ Youth
In collaboration with Active Minds, ShareWell has launched a campaign to empower LGBTQIA+ youth who face disproportionate mental health challenges. These young people often encounter stigma, discrimination, and isolation, which increases their vulnerability.
The statistics are alarming:
- 83% report experiencing anxiety.
- 45% have considered suicide in the past year.
- 60% who needed care were unable to access it.
We cannot ignore these numbers. Access to mental health care is not just important—it is lifesaving.
The Power of Peer Support
Peer support can be a lifeline for LGBTQIA+ youth. Research shows that having an accepting peer community significantly lowers suicide risk while boosting mental well-being.
That’s why ShareWell is sponsoring 100 young adults with free annual memberships, with the goal of reaching 1,000. These memberships open the door to safe, supportive spaces where peers uplift and understand one another.
How You Can Help
If you want to make a tangible difference, there are two powerful ways to join our mission:

- Upgrade to an annual plan: When you choose an annual plan in the next 60 days, we will donate a free membership to Active Minds.
Your support means more than just a donation—it offers hope and saves lives.
